I wasn’t sure if I wanted this post to be part one or two of this “I think I’ve earned it” series. It would make a lot more sense to everyone if I made it part two, but I’m so excited that I just had to change the order. P.S. Part Two will be password protected, so be ready for that.
I’m not good at commitment. I’m one of those people that is always on the lookout for something better. Never wanting to say yes to plans just in case something better comes up. Never wanting to make a big purchase, just in case a better deal comes along. Never wanting to think about a future with a boy, because I might meet a better boy later. That last one went out the window when I met Justin though. There is no boy on Earth better than him :)
That being said, this has been a week full of committing, and though it’s been scary, it’s been terrific!
Tuesday night I bought my plane ticket to Bloggers In Sin City! It cost more than I wanted to spend, and I had a bit of a panic attack when I realized I can’t just return the ticket if I chicken out on going. There’s no turning back, I have to go now, and that thought fills me with so many mixed emotions it’s insane. But the biggest emotion is excitement because I cannot freaking wait to meet all of you! And, of course, see this:
Today I purchased a Canon XSi Digital SLR camera! It’s something I’ve been considering for over a year, but was going to continue pushing off until after Vegas, a cruise, and potentially planning a wedding. I even had myself convinced that I didn’t need it until I have babies. Today, however, my co-worker came in with his brand new DSLR and I just couldn’t take it. I started looking at sites, comparing prices, and found a deal I just couldn’t pass up! I got the camera with a standard 18-55mm lens, a 4GB memory card, a bag, and an extra battery for under $700! All that plus free shipping!! Now I just have to wait a few days for it to come.
Now, some of you may be thinking, how is she affording all of this?!? A new camera, a flight to Vegas, a cruise, and still the idea of a wedding in the near future? Given all that and the fact that I just started this new job a few months ago, I know it doesn’t make very much sense. I promise, I had to work really hard to make this all happen. You’ll see what I mean tomorrow.
to be continued…

Have a wonderful time in Vegas! Take lots of pictures with that awesome camera.
It’s nice to get little gifts every now and then. I say if you have the money then go for it!

I struggled to hit the “Submit” button when I booked my Vegas flights. It’s so scary to be fully committed, as excited as I may be.
And I’m basically disgusted at how expensive flights to Vegas are. My flight to Africa is only a couple hundred more. Something is very, very wrong with that.
